Please join us for this outstanding eSeminar as Dr. Christopher Skidmore, Professor of Neurology, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA will present Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. During this discussion Dr. Skidmore will review the typical semiology, imaging work-up and EEG findings in temporal lobe epilepsy. There will also be a discussion regarding surgical treatment options.
Learning objectives:
- The learner should be able to describe the typical semiology for mesial versus lateral temporal lobe epilepsy
- The learner should be able to identify the typical EEG patterns seen in temporal lobe epilepsy
- The learner will describe the surgical treatment options for temporal lobe epilepsy

MD Associate Professor, Associate Director Neurology Residency and Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs
Dr. Christopher T. Skidmore has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, and a doctorate in Medicine from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, MO. He completed his Neurology residency and Epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. He has been a member of the Jefferson Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in the Department of Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University since 2005 and is currently an Associate Professor. He served as the Neurology Residency Program Director for over ten years and has remained on as the Associate Program Director. He serves as the Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs for the Department of Neurology and is the Treasurer for the Philadelphia Neurological Society. He is a member of the board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania (EFEPA) and also serves as the Chair of the Professional Advisory Board for the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania
He has participated in all levels of medical education and has lectured extensively on epilepsy and related issues. He has served on numerous committees for various national organizations and is committed to serving the medical community and the patients he treats.
