Join us for a highly informative eSeminar featuring a team of world-renowned neurotrauma care professionals who will discuss consensus based TBI management and practical applications at the bedside.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the role of consensus-based recommendations in bridging the gap between evidence-report based guidelines and bedside clinical practice
- Understand the nature of Delphi-based consensus development, including the evidentiary-nature of the product and what such recommendations do and do NOT imply
- Understand the format and contents of the CREVICE, SIBICC I, and SIBICC II consensus-based sTBI treatment recommendations
- Understand the spectrum of mechanisms through which such consensus-based recommendations can be incorporated into local and regional care.
Intended audience: Neurosurgery, Neurotrauma, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Neuroanesthesia, Neurology, Nursing and Technologists.

Dr. Hawryluk is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Manitoba. He is a neurosurgeon-basic scientist whose research portfolio spans the spectrum from basic science to translational work to the purely clinical. Dr. Hawryluk’s is very interested in studying physiologic “big data” to better inform intensive care practices with a particular focus on treatment thresholds.

Dr. Jallo is a Professor of Neurological Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University. He serves as Director of Neurotrauma & Critical Care for the Jefferson Health System and Vice Chair for Academic Services. Dr. Jallo leads educational programs for physicians and other health care professionals in the neurotrauma and neurocritical care.

Linda Littlejohns is a neuro clinical nurse specialist and consultant who started her nursing career in South Africa before relocating to California. Linda worked at a trauma center in California as the Neuro CNS before joining industry as a Global VP of Clinical Development. Linda currently practices as a neuro clinical nurse consultant since her retirement in 2014.

Dr. Chesnut, is a Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington/ Harborview Medical Center. He has particular expertise in surgery and neurocritical care for traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injuries. Dr. Chesnut has published extensively on neurotrauma management, and leading evidence based practice guidelines.
