Sanjeev D. Nandedkar, Ph.D.
Sensory nerve conduction studies are useful to detect early nerve pathology in neuropathy and to localize the site of lesion. But they are challenging due to the low voltage response that is corrupted by noise and interference. Being an engineer, Sanjeev (he prefers to be called by his first name, or as Anjalis husband) loves to discuss the technical aspects of recordings. This set of 40+ videos not only demonstrate the methods of testing common and uncommon nerves, but also covers methods of reducing noise and artifacts. Sensory NCS in carpal tunnel syndrome is also covered. A monograph also provides description of the basic concepts of generation and recording of potentials. Reference values for measurements are tabulated using publications in scientific journals.
