Neuromuscular Ultrasound Workshop

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Apply foundational neuromuscular ultrasound (NMUS) knowledge to support the performance and interpretation of examinations.
• Select and manipulate ultrasound transducers appropriately to optimize image acquisition.
• Operate the InVisus Pro system effectively and utilize its features for optimal clinical performance.
• Describe the indications, advantages, and limitations of neuromuscular ultrasound.
• Perform standardized scanning protocols for neuromuscular structures of the upper extremities, lower extremities, and diaphragm.
• Recognize the normal and pathological ultrasound appearance of common neuromuscular conditions affecting the upper and lower extremities.
• Conduct a standardized ultrasound assessment for the evaluation of scapular winging.
• Explain the role of ultrasound guidance in carpal tunnel injections and demonstrate the procedural workflow.

This workshop is targeted towards clinicians new to or early on in their experience with neuromuscular ultrasound and includes topics such as basic anatomy, technical skills, and approach to evaluating various neuromuscular pathologies
