Basics of EEG Source Imaging

EEG source imaging is a clinically validated tool, increasingly used in the presurgical evaluation of patients with drug resistant focal epilepsy. Structured training in advanced signal analysis methods is often missing from the epilepsy and EEG curricula. This session will provide an overview on EEG source imaging, from a clinical perspective.

At the end of this session the audience will become familiar with the principles of EEG source imaging, its advantages and limitations, and will be able to integrate the results of EEG source imaging into the presurgical evaluation.
