DCI is the most common complication after aneurysmal SAH and is responsible for most of the long-term disability. While its optimal treatment is still unknown, several studies indicate that CEEG is a promising tool for its management. In this lecture, we will review the pathophysiology of DCI, how ischemia and DCI affects cerebral activity and how the EEG can be used to detect DCI and guide therapies.
