Audio-Visual electromyography (AVEMG) is a new method of automated analysis of the volitional EMG activity with graded force of contraction. It provides online guidance without changing the workflow of the routine EMG. In this eSeminar we will review the various measurements made in AVEMG and how they are assessed to recognize the underlying pathology in real time.
At the conclusion of this eSeminar the participants will be able to:
• Measure the EMG signal: Fullness of pattern, Amplitude, Sound, Firing rate & the ‘Fence’ pattern
• Understand the plots of measurements and normal limits for 10 commonly tested muscles of the upper and lower limb
• Know when a study is abnormal
• Identify patterns in neuropathy and myopathy
• Workflow & Reporting with AVEMG
