The set-up of new integrated clinical services is often complex, especially in conditions of limited resources. Continuous Critical Care Electroencephalography (CCCEG) has been recognized to be an important neuromonitoring tool in adult Intensive Care Patients with and without brain damage for the diagnosis of seizures and prognostication of neurological outcome. In this talk we summarize some key practical aspects to take into consideration for the development of a CCCEEG service and review the most common clinical indications for this type of neuromonitoring technique.
