Dr. Lawrence Hirsch, Professor of Neurology at Yale University Medicine, will review when to obtain EEG monitoring in patients with intraparenchymal, subarachnoid and other intracranial hemorrhages, including for the detection of seizures and delayed cerebral ischemia. He will also discuss how to describe the EEG patterns and manage nonconvulsive seizures and controversial patterns such as the ictal-interictal continuum. This will include a brief overview of the new 2021 American Clinical Neurophysiology Society Critical Care EEG Terminology.
