Neurophysiology of pains in humans

In the eSeminar we will be covering the main aspects of neurophysiological studies of pain in humans. After this eSeminar, the participants will be able to:

• Learn the technical specifics of the main neurophysiological tests commonly used for investigating nociceptive system
• Understand the diagnostic usefulness of nociceptive evoked potentials (laser evoked potentials and contact heat evoked potentials in the assessment of patients with neuropathic pain)
• Acquire knowledge on how the neurophysiological testing may improve our knowledge about the mechanisms of underlying neuropathic pain
