EDS 3® Setup and Application

The Natus® EDS 3® CSF External Drainage System is used to manage raised ICP by safely eliminating cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the ventricles of the brain or lumbar spine. Clinician familiarity with the setup and application of the EDS 3 is essential to ensure patient safety while draining CSF and accuracy of ICP readings.

At the end of the presentation, the health care professional will be able to:
• Demonstrate setup of the EDS 3 CSF drainage system
• Demonstrate proper leveling of the EDS 3 using a laser level
• Demonstrate management of the system stopcock positions
