Dr. Tomás Caroço is a 5th-year resident in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) at Hospital de Faro – ULS Algarve, Portugal. He is committed to advancing the fields of Pain Medicine, Ultrasound-Guided Interventions, and Performing Arts Medicine. He holds board certification from the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) in PRM and is currently completing the UEMS-accredited program in Interventional Techniques in Pain Medicine offered by the Portuguese Association for the Study of Pain (APED), having been awarded the APED Scholarship for clinical training at the Pain Medicine Department of Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. He has also completed an observership at the Pain Medicine Division of Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, further broadening his international clinical perspective. Dr. Caroço’s clinical and academic work bridges medicine, movement, and the performing arts. He has collaborated with various specialists and published on the use of botulinum toxin in a professional percussionist in the Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine, where he also serves as a peer reviewer

Dr. Harald Aurlien is a clinical neurophysiologist and neurologist with over 20 years of experience in EEG diagnostics and AI development. He is currently a Consultant at the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology, Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, Norway. Dr. Aurlien is also Chief Medical Officer at Holberg EEG, leading innovations in automated EEG interpretation. He has expertise in EEG standardization (SCORE), international taskforces, and the integration of AI into clinical practice.

Sándor Beniczky is board-certified neurologist, clinical neurophysiologist and epileptologist. He is professor at Aarhus University Hospital, and he is the head of the Clinical Neurophysiology Department at the Danish Epilepsy Centre. He is the chair of the joint EEG taskforce of the IFCN and ILAE, member of the ILAE commission on diagnostic methods, ILAE education council and the executive committee of ILAE-Europe. He is editor-in-chief of Epileptic Disorders. The main research interest of Dr. Beniczky is EEG and epilepsy, focusing on electromagnetic source imaging, seizure detection, standardisation and quality-assurance in clinical neurophysiology. He has supervised 10 Ph.D. students. He is author of 164 peer-reviewed papers and 22 book chapters.
