CHARACTERISTICS OF PATIENT
Male infant born at 37 weeks gestation, to a 19-year-old mother, by Caesarean Section indicated for oligohydroamniosis. At 30 minutes of life, the infant started having changes in Pulse Oximetry, with desaturations to 70%, accompanied by tachypnoea of 70 respirations per minute. The infant was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit with diagnosis of pulmonary maladaptation syndrome.
