This eSeminar highlights the value of point-of-care (POC) EEG from the nursing perspective, bridging both clinical and administrative insights. Presenters will share real-world experiences from the bedside and system-level implementation, emphasizing how timely EEG access impacts patient care, workflow, and resource allocation. Attendees will gain practical strategies for recognizing when POC EEG is needed, how it empowers nursing practice, and its role in improving interdisciplinary efficiency within healthcare systems.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the role and benefits of point-of-care EEG in acute and critical care settings.
- Discuss how nurses can advocate for and integrate POC EEG into existing workflows and protocols.
- Evaluate the administrative impact of POC EEG on staffing, cost, and system-level efficiency.

She has served as a Code Neuro nurse and understands the critical importance of rapid diagnosis and intervention for patients with neurological injuries. In her current role as Director of Clinical Applications at Natus, she partners with healthcare teams to implement innovative neurodiagnostic technologies that enhance patient care and streamline workflows.

Minna B. Masor, MSN, Ed, RN, CCRN, SCRN, is a Seizure and Epilepsy Healthcare Professional with over 30 years of nursing experience. Her expertise spans critical care for neuroscience patients, and she is widely recognized for her leadership and dedication to advancing neuroscience nursing.Currently, Minna is a Clinical Applications Specialist for Natus Medical and serves as a Director-at-Large on the board of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN). Throughout her career, Minna has demonstrated a deep passion for improving outcomes for patients with neurological conditions, particularly those affected by stroke, seizures, and epilepsy. She is a published author of book chapters, abstracts and other research articles and posters. Minna was instrumental in developing and opening an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at a large tertiary care center in Chicago.
