The clinical use of NMUS in the EMG lab is expanding. During this lecture, Dr. Stephan Iglseder will present clinical case studies with videos and discuss when NMUS is a useful adjunct to neurodiagnostic tests. He will also present the correlation of EMG and NMUS in the following clinical applications: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Ulnaris Neuropathy at the elbow, Meralgia Parästhetica, foot drop, sensitive nerves and the role of muscle US guided infiltration.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn when to use and how to use bedside NMUS in the EMG lab
- Recognize typical pathologies in frequent cases
- Know in which cases NMUS is helpful

Dr. Stephan Iglseder qualified as a Neurologist in 2013 at the Konventhospital Barmherzige Brüder, Linz, Austria and ran neuromuscular ultrasound and electrophysiology outpatient clinics between 2013 and 2025. This year, Dr. Igelseder started a Specialist Private Practice in Gallneukirchen, Austria. He teaches at the Austrian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology at the Neuromuscular Ultrasound, Ultraschallakademie, Wien, Austria.
