Course introduction:
This webinar aims to provide an introduction to multimodal monitoring for neurocritical patients. We will talk about how to add cEEG to ICP Monitoring in ICU, from most basic and routine cases to higher levels of monitoring. Literature and guidelines regarding ICP and cEEG will be discussed and most importantly, why they should be integrated together to provide a better outcome for patients. The webinar aims to provide attendees with sufficient preliminary knowledge before attending further webinars concentrating on individual clinical cases.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this seminar the participants will be able to:
- Define multimodal monitoring for the neurocritical care patient
- Summarize the value of adding cEEG to ICP monitoring in the ICU
- Identify the integration of ICP and EEG in the literature

David is a registered nurse who specializes in critical care nursing. He is experienced in taking care of patients with neurosurgical problems such as brain injuries and intracranial hemorrhages. David completed his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing in The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also holds a post-graduation certificate in Intensive Care Nursing from the Institute of Advanced Nursing Studies in Hong Kong.
