CNI offers a 150 hour comprehensive program in electrodiagnostic medicine. It is a thorough program covering nerve conduction studies, needle EMG and evoked potentials. The program is designed for the Doctoral level health care professional (M.D./D.O., D.C., D.P.M., D.P.T.) and is designed for the learner to obtain core competency in the selection, performance and interpretation of electrodiagnostic studies. This program is delivered by completing six of the ten modules as asynchronous or “on demand” self-paced courses. There are four sessions that must be attended live as they are “hands on” practical sessions to develop psychomotor skills of data collection and technical competency. As a result, the learner must only commit to four weekend courses, as all lecture courses can be done at their own pace. This format provides for minimal travel and minimal lost weekends for CME classes!
Learn the theory and practice of nerve conduction studies, needle electromyography (EMG) and evoked potentials. Upon completion of this program doctors will have the skills to perform and interpret the findings of these scientifically validated diagnostic procedures. Additionally, report writing, reimbursement coding and third-party reimbursement procedures will be discussed. These procedures will greatly enhance your ability to manage your patients with spine and radicular pain syndromes, as well as peripheral neuropathies, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. These procedures are within the scope of practice for Doctoral level health care providers. In addition, these procedures are reimbursable by most insurance companies.
The electrodiagnostics certificate program is a “hybrid” of self-paced, “flipped classroom” classes combined with live on site “hands on” courses. The lecture (didactic) modules are offered only as independent study, on demand modules. This means that participants can log on and participate in the course from the comfort of their home or office, without the time and expense of travel! A simple desktop or laptop computer with speakers and an internet connection is required. Four of the ten modules require local attendance as they are “hands on” laboratory modules. For those weekends, the participant will have an EMG instrument at their disposal so they may perfect their nerve conduction study and EMG skills.
Tuition: $675 per Module
Student Rate and new graduate rate $400 per Module
