Course introduction:
Please join us for this ON-DEMAND event of a previously broadcast eSeminar. Dr. Jeffrey Strakowski from Ohio State University will review potential clinical value of imaging nerve and muscle with high frequency ultrasound including comparison to other imaging modalities. He will also contrast the diagnostic value and adjunctive relationship to electrodiagnostic testing. The eSeminar will present the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal nerve and muscle and also provide clinical scenarios demonstrating the use of high frequency ultrasound to provide critical diagnostic information.
At the conclusion of this eSeminar the participants will be able to:
- Learn the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal peripheral nerves and muscles including image optimization.
- Understand the advantages of high frequency ultrasound over other types of imaging for assessment of neuromuscular disorders.
- Understand the relative value of electrodiagnosis and neuromuscular ultrasound in combination in the assessment of neuromuscular disorders
