Event Details

Course introduction:
Neurophysiology of pain in humans In the eSeminar we will be covering the main aspects of neurophysiological studies of pain in humans.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this seminar the participants will be able to:

  • Learn the technical specifics of the main neurophysiological tests commonly used for investigating nociceptive systems.
  • Understand the diagnostic usefulness of nociceptive evoked potentials (laser evoked potentials and contact heat evoked potentials in assessing patients with neuropathic pain).
  • Acquire knowledge on how the neurophysiological testing may improve our knowledge about the mechanisms of underlying neuropathic pain.

Speakers for this event

  • Dr. Andrea Truini
