Course introduction:
There are several indications for PSG in infants and pediatric patients. However, Polysomnography can be very challenging especially in pediatrics, because they have a limited ability to cooperate with the setup, and may experience the first night effect due to sleeping in a strange environment and being in a hospital. There are many things sleep techs can do to ease the burden on the child and family in order to obtain a successful PSG.
